When we find a better rate, we tell you which path pays out the most and how to file the claim.
Cancel-and-rebook: if you have a refundable rate, you cancel before the deadline and rebook at the lower rate. Best for large drops. OTA price match: if you booked on Booking.com, they offer a price match guarantee, you submit the lower rate and they adjust your booking without cancellation. (Expedia and Hotels.com discontinued their Hotel Price Guarantee in July 2026, so those bookings rely on cancel-and-rebook instead.)
