Privacy Policy

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service. This includes:

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google’s OAuth service.
• Booking confirmation data. When you forward a travel confirmation email to plans@plot.travel, we parse the content of that email to extract booking details (flights, hotels, car rentals) including confirmation numbers, dates, times, pricing, and carrier or property names.
• Price monitoring data. To watch for price drops, we store the booking price at import time and check current prices from public travel fare sources on a recurring basis until your departure date.
• Usage data. We collect standard server logs and anonymized analytics (page views, feature interactions) to understand how the product is used and where it can be improved.

We do not request access to your email inbox. The only emails we receive are the ones you deliberately forward to us.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account.
• Parse your forwarded confirmation emails and display them as an organized trip timeline.
• Monitor your booked flight and hotel prices and notify you when a lower price is detected.
• Screen flight disruptions for compensation eligibility under EU261/2004 and U.S. DOT regulations.
• Send you alerts and product notifications related to your trips (price drops, delays, compensation eligibility).
• Improve the product through aggregated, anonymized usage analysis.
• Respond to support inquiries you send us.

We do not use your data to train machine learning models that are shared with third parties, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers. We use trusted third-party services to operate Plot, including cloud infrastructure (Supabase), error monitoring (Sentry), and price data providers. These vendors access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Trip sharing. If you choose to share a trip via a public link, anyone with that link can view the itinerary. You control whether a sharing link is active.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Plot, our users, or the public.

We retain your account and trip data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and associated trip data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.

We protect your data using industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted storage, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take these risks seriously and work to minimize them.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data in your account.
• Delete your account and associated data at any time.
• Opt out of marketing or promotional communications by contacting us.
• Withdraw consent at any time — for example, by revoking Plot’s access in your Google account settings.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at founder@plottravel.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Plot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Plot after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
