Your Delta Air Lines fare dropped $103
Claim it through Trip.com or Delta Air Lines. Here's how.
Start with Trip.com
Your ticket is held by Trip.com, so cancellations and refunds go through Trip.com. Delta Air Lines will also change a ticket a booking site issued; use only the Delta Air Lines method below, as written.
How to claim a price drop through Trip.com
3 methods ranked by ease and success rate.
- 1
Book the same flight at the lower fare first, so you do not lose it
- 2
Open Find bookings on Trip.com and select the original flight
- 3
Check the refund shown. Some airlines allow free cancellation within 24 hours of booking; if yours does, cancel
Trip.com does not promise a 24-hour refund; it depends on the airline's fare conditions. Cancel through Trip.com, not the airline.

- 1
Call Trip.com at (833) 896-0077 (US, 24/7; +1-646-362-8606 from abroad) or use chat
- 2
Ask what cancelling would return. The airline decides: a refund to your card, an airline voucher, or nothing on a non-refundable fare, and Trip.com may add its own service fee
- 3
Only if the refund or voucher is clearly worth more than the new fare, cancel and book the cheaper flight
Cancel through Trip.com, not the airline. Trip.com has no price-drop program; its price guarantee only means your price will not change after you pay. With AirFlex you get one free change before your first flight departs.
- 1
Open your trip in the Fly Delta app or My Trips on delta.com with Delta's 6-character confirmation number and your last name. Use the code Delta sent, not the booking site's itinerary number
- 2
Try "Change Flight" first and pick the same flight at the lower fare. If Delta shows the difference coming back as an eCredit, confirm: your seats and booking stay as they are
- 3
If Delta will not change it or shows nothing back, choose "Cancel Flight" instead. Before you confirm, check that the full ticket value is kept as a Delta eCredit
- 4
Book the same flight at the lower fare on delta.com or in the app and pay with the eCredit. Whatever is left stays as an eCredit in your name
- 5
If the eCredit will not apply online, call Delta at 1-800-221-1212 with your ticket number (it starts with 006) and ask an agent to apply it
Do this yourself in the app or on delta.com, not through the booking site and not by phone or chat: Delta charges $50 for changes it makes on a travel-site ticket and waives it in My Trips, and a booking site may turn the ticket into its own credit and keep the leftover. Delta will not let you do this in the first 24 hours after booking. The eCredit goes to the traveler named on the ticket, and a ticket paid with card points comes back as an eCredit, not points.
Delta Air Lines change fees
Even when claiming through Trip.com, the underlying fare class determines whether rebooking makes financial sense.

These are Delta Air Lines's fees. Trip.com may also charge additional service fees. Confirm the total before proceeding.

Questions
Delta Air Lines via Trip.com: price drop FAQ
Common questions about claiming a price drop on Delta Air Lines when booked through Trip.com.
Start with Trip.com: it holds your ticket and handles refunds. Delta Air Lines is one of the few airlines that will also change a ticket a booking site issued, which can be the cheaper route after the first 24 hours. We have documented 3 verified methods on this page.
Not as a federal right. The US 24-hour rule applies to tickets bought directly from the airline, not through booking sites like Trip.com. What Trip.com offers in the first 24 hours is in the first method on this page; on some sites it depends on the airline's fare rules.
Trip.com for a cancellation or refund, since it issued your ticket. For a change, Delta Air Lines can also do it: see the Delta Air Lines method on this page for how, and what it costs.
Inside Trip.com's cancellation window, you typically receive a full cash refund to your original payment method. Outside that window, any fare difference is usually issued as a travel credit or Trip.com rewards (such as OneKeyCash for Expedia), not cash. See the specific methods above for payout details.
Plot watches your Delta Air Lines fare continuously after you forward your confirmation email to plans@plot.travel. When the price drops, we send the exact savings amount and step-by-step instructions specific to Trip.com's process, including the reminder to contact Trip.com, not Delta Air Lines.
